RENTAL TURNOVER HACK

Here’s a scenario every landlord and broker knows too well.

Old tenant moves out.

We deep clean the unit.

We stage it.

We make it look perfect.

Weeks (or months) later, a new tenant finally commits.

Then comes the request:

“Sir, can we have it cleaned again before move-in?”

Even if no one touched the unit.

Even if it’s been locked and unused the entire time. 🤦🏻‍♂️

And honestly?

I get it.

Tenants want to see cleanliness — not just assume it.

Recently, I walked into a unit for a move-in and noticed something interesting.

The furniture was cling-wrapped.

Sofas.

Bench.

Chairs.

Tables.

Like they just came straight from the warehouse.

Instantly, everything made sense.

✔️ It visually proves the furniture was cleaned

✔️ It prevents dust from settling

✔️ It removes doubt

✔️ It avoids the “clean again” request

✔️ It saves time, money, and back-and-forth

I didn’t come up with this.

I just saw it — and I’m absolutely copying it.

You could even do this with AC units if the vacancy is long.

Sometimes, the solution isn’t another cleaning.

It’s signaling cleanliness.

Simple. Cheap. Effective.

And from now on?

This is a practice I’m adopting. Professional cleaners should do too.
